Sir Danny Alexander

CEO

Sir Danny Alexander joined HSBC in November 2024 and is CEO of HSBC Infrastructure Finance and
Sustainability, Corporate and Institutional Banking. In this role, Danny leads on infrastructure and
export finance and project finance advisory opportunities with a focus on the transition to net zero in
our strategic markets. Danny also leads on sustainable finance and clean tech initiatives and oversees
partnerships such as Pentagreen Capital, our joint venture with Temasek that targets marginally
bankable clean energy and adaptation projects in Southeast Asia.
Previously Sir Danny was Vice President, Policy and Strategy, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank
(AIIB). He joined the AIIB – the first new multilateral development bank of the 21st century and the
first to be headquartered in Beijing – at its inception in 2016 and led the Bank through its start-up and
growth phases. Sir Danny was responsible for AIIB’s strategic direction, including its thematic sectoral
and country priorities. He led the Bank’s ambitious climate agenda and oversaw AIIB’s environmental
and social and other operational policies. He represented AIIB at the G20 Finance Ministers meetings,
climate COPs, and other international meetings. He led the Bank’s partnership with the World Bank
and other multilateral, bilateral, and private sector partners.
From 2010-2015, Sir Danny was Chief Secretary to the Treasury in the United Kingdom Cabinet. He led
the Liberal Democrat negotiating team that established the Coalition that governed in that period,
and was one of the four member ‘Quad’ that provided the core political leadership of that
government. In government, he was responsible for the UK’s deficit reduction, pension reform, and
national infrastructure plan. He was a member of the National Security Council. He was MP for
Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey from 2005 to 2015. He was Knighted by Her Majesty the
Queen in 2015 for his services to government.
He holds a BA in philosophy, politics and economics from the University of Oxford and is an honorary
fellow of St Anne’s College, Oxford. He was born and brought up in the Highlands and Islands of
Scotland.

Robert Birdsey

Robert is a Managing Director and co-founder of GreenFront, where he leads transaction origination and execution across the renewable fuels sector and adjacent energy transition technologies. He specializes in complex M&A and structured capital solutions, with a focus on low-carbon fuel pathways, environmental credit markets, and the service and equipment providers that underpin the decarbonization of the industrial economy.

Robert has executed a broad range of transactions involving cross-border strategic M&A, project finance, structured equity, and tax credit optimization. Prior to founding GreenFront, he was Head of Energy Investment Banking at BB&T Capital Markets, where he led the firm’s advisory efforts across upstream, midstream, and clean energy markets. He began his career in J.P. Morgan’s Energy Investment Banking group, working on transactions across the international energy value chain.

Chris Chaput

Christopher J. Chaput, is President of DG Fuels, LLC. He has over 23 years of experience as an executive, an investment banker, a restructuring advisor and an investor, primarily in the aviation sector.

Most recently he was a partner in and co-founder of RPK Capital Management, a portfolio company of the Carlyle Group focused on investing in commercial aircraft and other aviation-related assets. Prior to RPK, Mr. Chaput was a partner and head of the Structured Finance Group at the Seabury Group, an investment banking boutique, where he arranged secured financings of aircraft, rail cars, real estate, ships and other assets. Mr. Chaput was a senior member of the exclusive advisory team that represented US Airways in its successful merger with America West Airlines and that restructured US Airways, Air Canada and Northwest Airlines in bankruptcy. Mr. Chaput was an Executive Director in the Equipment Finance Group at Morgan Stanley from 1998 to September 2002, where he structured and executed public and private aircraft-backed secured bonds and was also active in financing real estate, rail cars and other assets. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Chaput was the Managing Director-Corporate Finance at Northwest Airlines (1990-1998).

Mr. Chaput practiced law with a Minneapolis law firm from 1986-1990, specializing in corporate, partnership and tax law. He also worked in the Tax Department at Coopers & Lybrand from 1985 to 1986.

Mr. Chaput earned his B.A. from Creighton University, magna cum laude, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he also taught Business Planning for two years as an adjunct professor.

Mona Dajani

Mona Dajani is a partner and the Global Co-Chair of the Energy, Infrastructure and Hydrogen teams and Co-Chair of the Baker Botts Energy Sector worldwide. Mihir Dange is the Chief Executive Officer of XCF Global, where he leads one of the aviation sector’s most advanced decarbonization initiatives through the development and scaling of synthetic aviation fuel (SAF) infrastructure. Under his leadership, XCF’s flagship New Rise facility began commercial production in Q1 2025, establishing the company as an early operator in the SAF market with proven execution.

Mihir oversees XCF’s strategic growth across project development, capital formation, and long-term operational expansion. He actively builds partnerships with industry, government, and institutional investors to accelerate the adoption of SAF and align global policy with clean aviation targets.

Prior to XCF, Mihir was Co-CEO of Wapanda, where he developed the first NYC-approved e-hail platform for taxicabs. In parallel, he worked closely with policymakers to design and implement a regulatory framework aimed at stabilizing the taxi industry through medallion debt reform. His efforts contributed to landmark legislation that restructured outstanding taxi loans and introduced new ownership models, helping to modernize a legacy system through both technology and policy.

Earlier in his career, Mihir co-founded Arbitrage Capital, a NYMEX/COMEX derivatives trading firm, where he served as Head of Trading for over a decade. He brings more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, commodities, and large-scale infrastructure innovation.

Under Gene’s leadership, World Energy is currently undergoing a $2.5 billion dollar conversion project at its Los Angeles facility that will convert the facility into a 100% renewable production hub. Since 2016, he has also served as affiliate faculty in the Department of Chemistry at the Colorado School of Mines, mentoring graduate research in sustainable technologies. Kevin Welsh is Vice President, Environmental Affairs and Chief Sustainability Officer at Airlines for America.
