Neste issues €1bn in green bonds

Neste has issued two €500m green bonds using its Euro Medium Term Note Programme.

The Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) producer issued one six year bond and one 10 year bond.

“We were very pleased to see a strong, diverse demand, demonstrated by the well oversubscribed books, in our new green bonds. The successful outcome validates and supports Neste’s vision of being a global leader in renewable and circular solutions,” says Martti Ala‑Härkönen, CFO, Neste.

BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Danske Bank, ING Bank and Nordea Bank were joint lead managers.

Under its green finance framework the cash from the bond must be used to either invest directly in renewable and circular solutions or research and development into renewable and circular solutions.
