Global energy solutions provider SAMSUNG E&A announced an agreement with Honeywell to advance technology solutions in the areas of waste-to-sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) technologies, carbon capture and storage (CCS) and energy efficiency improvements.

“This strategic collaboration with Honeywell, together with our ongoing initiatives, reaffirms SAMSUNG E&A’s strong commitment to advancing innovation and sustainability across the global energy industry,” said Hong Namkoong, president and CEO of SAMSUNG E&A.

The agreement was announced at the 9th Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“This new collaboration with SAMSUNG E&A enables us to help meet this need by combining our respective best-in-class solutions and deep industry expertise to identify opportunities that support a more robust, efficient energy sector for the long-term,” said Anant Maheshwari, president & CEO Global Regions, Honeywell.

SAMSUNG E&A has been actively securing new products for the energy transition and diversifying its global markets.

Earlier in December last year, the company announced that it has secured a $955m contract for the construction of the Petronas, Eni and Euglena biorefinery in Malaysia to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other biofuels including hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO).

The agreement builds upon existing collaborations between the two companies. The two recently partnered on strategic SAF technology alliance to drive end-to-end production of SAF from biomass and municipal waste, with Johnson Matthey and GIDARA Energy.
