Aracdia eFuels signs long-term offtake with German energy supplier Uniper

Arcadia eFuels signed a long-term offtake agreement with German Energy provider Uniper. The agreement will see Uniper offtake 40,000 tonnes of eSAF annually from Arcadia’s project Endor in Vordingborg, Denmark.

Project Endor will produce eSAF through renewable electricity, self-produced green hydrogen and captured CO2.

The offtake is legally binding and delivery start dates are subject to meeting agreed precedent and commercial operations commencing. This is expected in the early 2030s. This agreement marks a major stepping stone in the project development and is a critical component to reaching Final Investment Decision (FID).

This agreement acknowledges Uniper’s ambition to take an early strategic position for emissions reductions in aviation.

The contracted volumes is equivalent to the fuel required for about 1000 Boeing 787-9 flights between Dusselfdorf and Abu Dhabi.

The agreement was signed in Dusseldorf with Mona Neubaur, Minister for Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Deputy Minister-President and Anette Galskjøt, Consul General of the Kingdom of Denmark in Hamburg, Germany were both in attendance.
