Elyse Energy enters financing deal with Hy24, Mirova to produce SAF, e-fuels
Elyse Energy has entered in a financing deal with Hy24 and Mirova to produce one million tonnes of e-methanol and 200,000 tonnes of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), the company announced in a press release.
The financing will help Elyse Energy deploy nearly 2.5GW of installed capacity to produce e-fuels in France and Spain.
“With this financing, Elyse is strengthened in its efforts to build a new industry that is essential in order to succeed in the energy transition,” Elyse Energy President Pascal Pénicaud said while announcing the deal.
Industrial commissioning of e-methanol and SAF is scheduled for 2027 and 2028.
These e-fuels are essential in helping the aviation and maritime sectors meet their decarbonization targets.
Hy24 manages the world’s largest clean hydrogen infrastructure fund. Mirova is a management company dedicated to sustainable investment.
