The EIA forecasts US SAF production to reach 30,000 barrels per day in 2024 and cross 50,000bpd mark in 2025 if planned facilities begin production on schedule.

The Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) issued a tender to purchase sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) credits on behalf of the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The OECD issued tenders for two lots of credits, one for SAF and other for high-quality emission reduction credits from clean cookstoves projects.

“The call for tenders has the objective to purchase high-quality carbon credits as part of the IEA’s decarbonization efforts. Candidates can apply for one or several lots. Candidates responding to multiple lots shall demonstrate the added value of their proposals,” said the tender notice.

The last date for submission of the offer is June 28th, 2024.

The OECD will use its e-sourcing portal called the ‘Prospeum’ for the procurement exercise.

The intergovernmental organisation said that interested parties should register with the e-sourcing portal in order to access the associated documents.
