Japan’s ZenGroup signs up to DHL’s SAF programme
E-commerce company ZenGroup announced that it has entered in an agreement with DHL Japan to sign up to their GoGreen Plus service to reduces greenhouse gas emissions associated with transportation by using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
DHL’s GoGreen Plus service allows corporates to reduce (insets) greenhouse gas emissions associated with transportation by using SAF.
SAF can reduce the lifecycle emissions of typical aviation fuel by up to 80%, enabling companies to address environmental issues regardless of industry or business type.
ZenGroup operates overseas purchasing proxy services and cross-border e-commerce malls, and since its founding in 2014, has shipped over 6m Japanese products to 175 countries and regions.
Under this agreement, the company will use GoGreen Plus for all packages sent by ZenGroup using DHL. The cost will be borne by ZenGroup and will not be passed on to the servic
e fee.
ZenGroup says it wants to promote initiatives that emphasise sustainability so that Japanese companies can utilise cross-border e-commerce while being mindful of the environment and increase their presence in overseas markets.
