TTCL cancels Bangchak’s SAF EPC contract

Thai industrial engineering company TTCL announced that it has cancelled engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Bangchak for the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) plant, according to company’s stock filings.
“We, TTCL Public Company Limited, refer to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contract dated 28 June 2023 and 1 February 2024, entered into between the Company and BSGF Company Limited in connection with the Sustainable Fuel Development Project,” read the stock filing.
The signing agreement, held in June of 2023, was attended by key stakeholders including Honeywell, desmet, TTCL and BSGF.
The unit is projected to have a daily production capacity of approximately 1,000,000 liters and is scheduled for commissioning in the fourth quarter of 2024 with plans to convert used cooking oil into SAF. The work had already begun on the construction of the site.
“Please be informed that, on 13 June 2025, the company resolved to exercise its contractual right to terminate the EPC Contract with immediate effect. This decision was made to safeguard the company’s legitimate interests and to protect the interests of its investors,” the company said in a statement.
“The Company also intends to take any necessary legal action against relevant parties involved in the Project to ensure the protection of the Company’s and its shareholders’ rights, while considering the interests of all stakeholders.”
