Skymetrix, 123Carbon team up to provide full end-to-end SAF management for airlines

Aviation fuel and cost management solutions provider Skymetrix and carbon insetting platform 123Carbon announced partnership to simplify and enhance the management of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for airlines.

Under the collaboration, Skymetrix will connect its digital fuel management platform to 123Carbon’s book-and-claim platform. This will enable full end-to-end management of SAF from producer to sustainability report generated by airline customers.

“We are excited by this new collaboration with 123Carbon, which automates SAF certificate management and integrates it directly into our fuel management platform. By doing so, we enable our airline customers to track, verify, and allocate environmental benefits more easily and with full transparency,” said Michael Scheidler, CEO of Skymetrix.

The joint solution enables airlines to receive high-integrity transparent Environmental Attribute Certificates (EACs) or Proof of Sustainability Documents (PoS), housed in the 123Carbon registry.

The partnership allows Skymetrix customers to manage all physical fuel procurement, both SAF and regular kerosene, as well as allocating authorised and transparent EACs to customers that are looking to reduce their air transport-related scope 3 emissions.

Nearly one-third of the global aviation fuel is managed through Skymetrix’s platform. The platform is used by nearly 135 airlines which use it to optimise, automate and track their fuel operations, from production through to uplift.
