GE powers 787-10 GEnxEngine with 100% SAF
GE Aerospace says that it has completed ground testing on its GEnxEngine with 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It is working with NASA on the testing.
The engine manufactuer complete a similar ground test with its Passport, business jet engine, using 100% SAF in 2022.
In 2021 GE worked with United Airlines on the first experimental SAF flight with United Airlines. The airline flew a Boeing 737 MAX – powered by CFM engines, produced by the GE/Safran joint-venture.
