Victor launches app offering SAF for private jet bookings
Global on-demand aircraft charter company Victor announced the launch of an app enabling SAF to be voluntarily purchased for all bookings, irrespective of aircraft or departure airport in partnership with Finnish refiner Neste.
“Our role is to make chartering private aircraft as easy as possible. How can clients choose the right option if they don’t know the fundamentals, such as who the operator is or the estimated emissions of an aircraft? As the leading on-demand private jet charter company worldwide, we have a responsibility to raise awareness of SAF. Whether or not clients choose to buy it is at their discretion, but at least we have made it as easy as possible via our new app,” said Toby Edwards, co-CEO, Victor.
The users can choose how much fossil fuel they want to replace with Neste’s SAF at the check-out. Based on the estimated fuel burn, carbon emissions and SAF purchased, users can see the CO2 reduction.
Victor’s revolutionary new app comes before the conclusion of the HM Treasury’s recently launched consultation, which suggests further reform to Air Passenger Duty for Private Jet flights.
Victor is now officially calling for an exemption on APD for all private jet charter clients who voluntarily purchase SAF when they book.
The app will be launched by Victor’s Abu Dhabi-based team at the MEBAA show from 10-12 December. The app will be available on iOS and Android.
