DHL Express Japan announced that it has onboarded eBay to its GoGreen Plus Programme to reduce its aviation related emissions.

“This partnership will support one of eBay’s official logistics services based in Japan, called eBay SpeedPAK – Ship via DHL,” said DHL Express in a statement.

DHL Express Japan and eBay have signed a GoGreen Plus agreement effective January 2025.

The programme reduces the greenhouse gas emissions of international express shipments through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

The company said that Orange Connex, one of eBay’s official logistics service providers, purchased almost 500 metric tons of SAF credits on behalf of eBay.

To secure SAF for its customers, earlier in January 2025, DHL Express announced an agreement with Japanese oil marketing company Cosmo to purchase 7.2m litres of SAF for use in its regular cargo shipping services starting in April 2025.
